The Caddie Line: 2018 RSM Classic

This is it, folks. The RSM Classic at the Sea Island Resort in Sea Island, Ga., tees off on Thursday morning and itโs the last, official PGA Tour event of the 2018 calendar year.
The 2018-19 season wonโt resume until the first week in January with the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua in Maui.
With that, everyone is going to want to end the year on a high note.

Three of our caddies who are in Sea Island this week, gave us their respective thoughts on which players to watch.
They submitted their picks anonymously, along with a reason as to why. Here are the players our caddies will be keeping a close eye onโฆ
Caddie 1
- JT Poston, โHeโs a local guy who played well last week in Mexico. JT is just good.โ
- Chris Kirk, โA past champion here and has been trending in the right direction.โ
- CT Pan, โReminds me a lot of Austin Cookโs game. CT seems to always be hanging around on the leaderboard. He has a chance to get it done this week.โ
Caddie 2
- Kevin Kisner, โHeโs a past champion Georgia boy who can roll the rock. After one practice round, I canโt recall greens running this pure. That bodes well for Kevin.โ
- Charles Howell III, โAlways a solid pick. I expect his ball striking to shine if the forecast holds up for a windy weekend on the Seaside Course.โ
- Kramer Hickok, โA little wild card, but I like the trend of a Web category member earning a fall series win for the third straight year. Heโs starting to find form and has posted some good rounds lately.โ
Caddie 3
- Webb Simpson, โWebber has had a solid year and is adept on Bermuda grass and has experience around Sea Island, but the biggest reason I like him is how well he tends to play in rugged conditions which will be likely this week. He features one of the steadiest bagmen in the game in Paul Tesori and the two will have an advantage communicating in the slop.โ
- Robert Streb, โStrebber has had an awesome fall with a win in the Web.com Finals and logged some solid finishes to start the wraparound. Oh yeah, heโs already won on this track before with his patented bullet draw and languid putting stroke. Add in the fact that he has experience playing in the cold and wind and Robert likely wonโt be eager to get back to Kansas City too soon with snow already on the ground. Reliable Aussie caddie Catman balances the duo with his veteran sarcasm.โ
- Zach Johnson, โZach lives in Sea Island and has played well here before and heโs from Iowa. Heโs won a British Open and The Masters when the weather was crap. I know he missed the cut last week, but Mexico is a long way away from Georgia and while the home cooking can sometimes be a distraction, I think Zach has the demeanor to separate the responsibilities from the golf. Looper Damon Green will no doubt be looking to do his patented bird dance in front of the diverse aviary audience.โ
